Should I Watch Yuusha Party wo Tsuihou sareta Beast Tamer, Saikyoushu no Nekomimi Shoujo to Deau?

I've seen Beast Tamer on many public media not long ago. Such as some billboards, and even on TV ads. You've even seen promotional videos of this anime by the Muse Asia channel. Of course, that all picked my interest in this one.

Do you know about other animes that has this long, self-explanatory Japanese titles and yet a very short English title in comparison? Here's another one. It's quite hilarious.

Beast Tamer goes through the struggles of a beast tamer named Rein Shroud, who got fired from the hero's party. While figuring out what his new purpose in life would be, he decided to become an adventurer, and meets a very cute and conveniently overpowered cat girl. From there, his adventures continues into meeting more and more cute and overpowered cast of characters.

The story of Beast Tamer is, in a nutshell, another OP MC fantasy anime. At least it's not about a reincarnated person. The series of events were very typical and convenient. This anime attempts to mix in several touching backstories and character developments between Rein and his companions, but I often find them fairly predictable.

The hero in question is also portrayed as quite the anti-hero. This trope is perhaps slightly more rare, though still easy to predict. The development of the hero and his party's characters were lacking, however I still have no complaints about the story's execution overall.

Basically, the hero, being the ass he is, kicked Rein out due to his uselessness in combat situations. But things change for Rein when he meets the overpowered cat girl. In fact, we eventually learn that Rein is, truthfully, very overpowered for a beast tamer. It's nothing unique, but was still an enjoyable watch.

Art style of Beast Tamer is pretty decent. I liked the character designs, and their chibi forms that appear from time to time looked great. There's a small bit of fanservice, but don't expect too much. Overall environment looked great and colours were vibrant.

I also enjoyed the animation of Beast Tamer. It's fluid enough, and the combat and magic scenes were cool.

Finally, the sound experience of this anime were just okay. Though, I quite enjoyed the ending theme song.

All in all, I still had a very enjoyable time watching this anime. Despite a typical plot development filled with convenient moments, it's still fun to watch the journey of Rein. It gave a vibe of getting away from a toxic peer, which I found to be easily relatable, adding much to my personal level of enjoyment. This imagery is what stood out for Beast Tamer, in my opinion.

In conclusion, this anime is not amazing, but it's good. For fans of this genre, I say Beast Tamer is absolutely worth watching.
